BIOGRAPHY
Inès Cherifi is a French singer, composer, producer and violinist exploring a form of saturated romanticism, where orchestral lyricism meets the intensity of electronic music. Her sound moves between fragile melodies, unresolved harmonies and euphoric distortion, allowing softness and excess to coexist.
A violinist since the age of five, Inès grew up playing in her local community orchestra in the suburbs of Paris, discovered Ableton at fourteen, and soon immersed herself in the club scenes of Paris and Berlin. Raised on classical music, video game soundtracks and anime, she draws on baroque fantasies, inner quests and transformation to shape her own sonic worlds. She treats strings like euphoric voices, blurring acoustic instruments, Auto-Tune and synthesizers into shifting, almost living soundscapes.
Following her debut EP Fountains (2023), she released Quests (2025), developed with collaborators including Krampf, followed by Quests Remixes (2026), featuring Paul Seul, Miss Jay and Baby-B. Her upcoming single Unfair, out November 27, 2026, brings her voice and songwriting further into focus.
Her work extends into fashion, film and contemporary art, with original music for Coperni (with U.R.Trax), Hermès (with Salomé Chatriot), Palais Galliera, Studio JTM’s animated film URANIBORG, and Mélanie Courtinat’s video game THE SIREN. She also composed BLISS for Tarek Lakhrissi’s exhibition at the Migros Museum in Zurich.
On stage, she combines electric violin, processed vocals and electronics in performances that move between introspection and collective catharsis. She has performed at the Palais de Tokyo, the opening of Marina Abramović’s retrospective at Kunsthaus Zürich, Visions du Réel, Fifty Lab festival in Brussels, Galeria Municipal do Porto, the Veja aftershow in Paris, Vesper club in London, and the Zénith de Paris, opening for Ascendant Vierge. In November 2026, she presents a spatialised audiovisual performance with Valentin Ranger at South Korea’s Asia Culture Center, continuing her exploration of music as an immersive, ever-evolving world.
